Two years ago I woke up on a Monday morning, helped James get ready for work, noticed that I was having somewhat regular contractions, so I went back to bed to try to rest. A few hours later, with contractions getting more consistent, I called James to come home. I spent all day resting as much as I could between contractions. Around 6pm my labor started to intensify, around 8:30pm I got into the birthing pool, and she was born just after 10pm. It was my easiest and most relaxed labor and birth of the three.
In spite of being a fairly easy pregnancy, labor and birth, her personality is a handful! She's a little clown who loves to perform and make us laugh. She's inquisitive and experiences life by getting into all sorts of unmentionable things! Within the past few weeks she has started speaking in more sentences and mimicking Yael's words and tones. She loves music and singing, and will ask us to sing her numerous songs, one right after the other.
We love this precious girl so much and are so thankful she is a part of our lives.

I am so thankful to live where we live.
Yesterday afternoon I did my big grocery shopping trip and then we went to my brother's house for dinner, so it was late by the time we arrived home. We were tired and after unloading the children, I told James I figured the temperature was good enough to leave all the groceries in the car (except for the freezer stuff) so we left them there and went to bed.
This morning, as I started unloading groceries, it occurred to me that in spite of all the problems we're facing ... inflation, food shortages, rising crime, etc ... I had just left about $350 worth of groceries sitting in my driveway, in my unlocked SUV overnight!
In hindsight, I'd probably lock the car next time just in case. But the fact that my reaction was to leave them without having any concern about it, speaks to the safety and security that we feel regarding our community. I'm thankful to be in a situation where we have the ability to get a carload of groceries and that we don't feel ...
